The shipyard in Aalsmeer has built several yachts from world famous American yacht designers like Philip Rhodes, Olin Stephens (Zwerver) and Alvin Mason (Dutch Treat). But only one sailing yacht was built to a design by Rhodes, the 14.17-metre Cozy II, which was construction number 523 in 1953. Cozy II had no keel but a centreboard, and the auxiliary engine was a Gray Four, a 42 hp petrol engine. There are only few photos of Cozy II in the shipyard archives, but this beautiful image is by the famous yacht photographer Morris Rosenfeld from New York.
