Gladys II

1954

This is Gladys II

‘Classic’, yes, that is what the Americans now call Feadships that were built in the early 1950s. The 19.81-metre steel motoryacht Gladys II launched in 1955 certainly lives up to that name: in that period many of those 'flush deck cruiser' type were built at the Feadship yards. Almost always designed by the office of H.W. de Voogt, these types of yachts have remained characteristic of Feadship's style over the years. They combined Dutch solidity with luxury and beauty and were and are therefore so popular with enthusiasts.
