Into the light
First images of Vertigo
Sometimes images speak louder than words and that’s certainly the case with the latest new Feadship to see the light of day. Feadship spotters were out in force in Makkum last Wednesday as the 96-metre Vertigo emerged from the construction hall at one of our three yards.
While the official launch party can wait for another day, Vertigo needed to come out into the open air in order to complete the outfitting work and dispatch her on the stringent sea trials for which Feadship is famous.
Hidden behind her super-elegant exterior profile are some amazing features including a 42,000-litre swimming pool which forms part of the beach club ceiling, and an awesome forward-facing owner’s stateroom with a three-metre-high skylight ceiling above the bed.
These and the many other interior delights remain very much under wraps at the moment. But as you can see from these exclusive photographs, there is already much to admire on Vertigo’s splendidly streamlined exterior profile.
Imagine how complex it was to create five different ten-metre hatches in that giant hull, two of which are for launching the yacht’s custom tenders. This entire build has been another testimony to teamwork as Feadship successfully partnered with the owner, the project management team from Azure, and the design teams from Redman Whiteley Dixon and Chahan Interior Design. The result is pretty impressive, don’t you think?
