ROCK.IT makes global debut at FLIBS
The awesome 60.35-metre ROCK.IT may have been launched a while ago but the only people to have seen this unique Feadship in the flesh are those lucky enough to go onboard with the owner. So everyone at Feadship was delighted when the owner agreed we could share his prized and normally very private possession with the yachting world at the upcoming Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
While tours of ROCK.IT’s amazingly detailed classic modern interior will be strictly reserved for a select group of invited guests, we’re sure that all visitors to the show will love seeing the sleek and sporty exterior. The striking first impression everyone has when they first see ROCK.IT’s curvaceous lines and lavish use of glass is very deliberate. The owner had never built a superyacht before and fell in love with the idea of having a Feadship after chartering one for a holiday. But it had to be very distinctive indeed!
We spent several years working together with Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design on this groundbreaking project, which grew from her original 38 metres to just over the 60-metre mark. The owner visited the Netherlands many times as we followed his brief for a Feadship that is ‘fast from the outside, cosy on the inside’. Realising such a true hybrid in terms of the interior and exterior requirements is the essence of pure custom creation. The success you see in the images reinforces how Feadship rules the waves when it comes to our experience in all areas of superyacht construction.
ROCK.IT has come out as a true style hybrid, and the owner is delighted with every aspect of his first Feadship: “The reason that I chose Feadship is simple,” he says. “Whether it’s wiring or plumbing, pipe fitting or painting, finishing or wiring, Feadship has the finest compilation of artists that I could find on my journey of discovery among the superyachts that exist today.
“It is all the small things that they do, the time they take to do what they do, and the extra effort that they take to make every corner, nook and cranny look great. As we enjoy this piece of art called ROCK.IT, we always do so with respect and admiration for the men and women who created her.”
