Second Feadship Heritage Fleet Rendezvous a resounding success
The Feadship Heritage Fleet, an association for owners of Feadships older than 30 years, has held the second edition of its Rendezvous event. On 3 and 4 July a fleet of 22 immaculately maintained classic Feadships gathered at the Feadship yard in Kaag in the Netherlands. The first evening of the Rendezvous includes a yacht hop and a reception on the 1965 Feadship Lucia to celebrate her Golden Jubilee. The fact that this lovely motoryacht was originally built for the Van Lent family and named after Jan van Lent’s wife added to the sensed of nostalgia.
The Saturday morning started with the association’s second general assembly as members reflected on the past year and discussed future plans. This was followed by a tour of the yard, which included the latest superyachts under construction. In the afternoon the entire fleet of vintage Feadships headed out onto the Kaag lakes, enthralling the onlookers along the shores on what was one of the hottest days of the year.
The owners and their guests then assembled at the famous Tante Kee restaurant for a BBQ sponsored by Gaastra. “We were delighted that so many members decided to attend this prestigious event in the summer season,” comments Feadship Heritage Fleet chairman Victor Muller. “As the association continues to welcome more members, owners thoroughly enjoyed celebrating the heritage of their beautiful boats together.”
