The Jewels in the Crown of Feadship
Like precious gems, no two Feadships are the same, and each is a work of art… This obvious truth was the inspiration behind the shimmering The Jewels in the Crown presentation that will be unveiled to the public for the very first time at the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show.
For many years now Feadship has made a big splash at the top boat events, showcasing its unique story. But with Feadship turning 70 this year we’ve gone even further, commissioning a pure custom art piece that celebrates both our royal heritage and the amazing fleet of yachts created by and for our clients over the past seven decades.
The Jewels in the Crown
The Jewels in the Crown display consists of well over three hundred individually pressed pieces of circular glass, each containing a Feadship profile that has been screen-printed by hand. The kaleidoscope of colours and gradations reflect the changing hues of the water as seen from a moving yacht, while the different sizes represent the various dimensions of Feadships.
Having worked in the wonderful world of superyachts for many years I’m very aware that all that glitters is not necessarily gold in this industry. However, on this occasion at least, I believe the sparkling superlatives will be well deserved as we shine a light on the family jewels of the Feadship fleet in this original and spectacular way.
SYZYGY 818
A number of Feadships will also be on display at the Monaco show, including the most recent addition to our fleet, the 77.25-metre SYZYGY 818. For privacy reasons we can only facilitate onboard tours for invited guests but her striking glass superstructure will be visible from the quay for everyone to admire!
PILOT and FLEET
Other treats available to all will be the latest editions of our PILOT magazine and the 2019 edition of Fleet. This may well go down in history as the last time we present the entire Feadship family in this pocketbook format because we are about to launch a brand-new Fleet Spotter’s Guide app. It will allow you instant access on your mobile to all our yachts and be constantly updated as and when new Feadships are delivered.
