GO was built in 2010 and, after five years of world cruising, the owners decided to extend all the decks of their yacht. A study into the various aspects of form, stability, seakeeping and comfort was carried out to ensure that GO could be lengthened while maintaining her running gear. Four metres was found to be the optimal length for the hull extension, enhancing the lines while maintaining her seakeeping qualities. Additions to hull and deck space made room for a larger tender created internal access to the lazarette and added a crew cabin, features typically found on a much larger yacht. The upper deck expansion also provided a huge additional amount of outdoor space for relaxing. The interior was restyled by Sinot who transformed the design to an even higher level than was already the case. You'll see what we mean if you watch this charter video released in 2016 to showcase life on the 'new' GO.
