Two famous Feadships come home together

The Feadship yard in Amsterdam has welcomed home the 50-metre Broadwater, launched as Blue Moon in 2000. The world’s first all-aluminium yacht over 500GT has been placed in the care of Feadship Refit & Services for pre-season deck and engineering works.

As Broadwater will soon be sold, the current owners wish to ensure that any outstanding issues related to class certification are resolved in order to speed up the sales process. And there is no better place to guarantee that everything is in tip-top condition than at Feadship.

“In addition to this pre-sale activity on the 50-metre Broadwater, we have also welcomed her sister-ship for an inspection in advance of a potential refit,” says Juul Back, Manager Refit & Services. “This 52-metre Feadship was launched as Rasselas in 1994 and it is a fine sight to see these two famous superyachts docked next to each other. The crews of both yachts are very hospitable, adding to the bustling atmosphere in and around the yard.”
