This is Camargo IV
The start of the Swinging Sixties saw the pendulum of superyacht construction reach a whole new level with the launch of Camargo IV. Meeting her owner’s desire for central air-conditioning, retractable stabilizers, radar, autopilot gear, televisions, an Ampex hi-fi, a desalination installation and water treatment plant required a move from 110-volt battery banks to AC generators. As well as proving that home-from-home comforts could be added to a Feadship, Camargo IV pioneered a new wave of noise & vibration attenuation. Incidentally, it was also one of the first designs by Frits de Voogt after joining the firm after father Henri suffered a stroke near in 1958.
