Riepel

1950

This is Riepel

This 8.54-metre oak sailing yacht with auxiliary engine was built under construction number 463. Designed by G.W.W.C. Baron van Höevell, it was known at the shipyard for the longest time as the ‘Hiswa 1950 boat’. This is because in April 1950 Riepel was on display at Holland’s most important water sports exhibition, which was held for the first time after World War II in the capital’s Apollo Hall.
